Serif / Sans-Serif Fonts, Margin, Illustrator guide, Bleed, CMYK, Image Resolution, Proof Copy, Artboard, and Registration Mark

Font[serif & sans-serif]: Serif is usually easier to read and ables letters to be more distinctive. Sans-Serif is the letters without the serif( Sans in French means without).


Margin: The distance between a decision boundary and a data point.

Guide(illustrator guides): Guides help you to line control objects and paths easily in Illustrator.

Bleed: Bleed is a printing term that refers to printing that goes beyond the edge of the sheet before trimming.

CMYK: CMYK refers to the four inks used in some color printing: cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black).

Image Resolution: is the detail an image holds.

Proof Copy: a copy of (a book, story, etc) made from trial impressions made from composed type, or print-outs (from a laser printer, etc) for the correction of errors.

Artboard: An on-screen design surface in a drawing application.

Registration Mark: The registered trademark symbol, designated by ® (the circled capital letter R), is a symbol that provides notice that the preceding word or symbol is a trademark or service mark that has been registered with a national trademark office.
